Personal Experience & Biography
We spend our lives learning about the world around us, yet truly understanding ourselves is often one of the most challenging things we can do. I believe that therapy is most meaningful when it provides a space for honest exploration, reflection, and growth. Drawn to psychology by a lifelong fascination with human behaviour, I am particularly interested in how people make sense of their experiences, navigate challenges, and find resilience in difficult circumstances.
While grounded in professional and evidence-based practice, I believe that genuine human connection plays an important role in therapy. My therapeutic style is collaborative, direct yet compassionate and grounded in transparency. While I am not afraid to gently challenge unhelpful patterns when needed, I believe that meaningful change happens when people feel understood, respected, and safe enough to examine themselves honestly.
Over the course of my clinical training, I have worked with a range of concerns, including mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, neurodevelopmental disorders, eating disorders, personality disorders, interpersonal difficulties and existential challenges. During my clinical placement at the National Cancer Institute Malaysia, I also had the opportunity to support individuals and families experiencing grief, bereavement, and the emotional impact of serious illnesses.
At the heart of my work is the belief that greater self-awareness can create new opportunities for change. Through therapy, I hope to support individuals in developing a stronger sense of agency, greater clarity in navigating life’s uncertainties, and a deeper understanding of themselves and the lives they wish to build.
