Personal Experience & Biography
I am a clinical psychologist registered with the Malaysian Society of Clinical Psychology (CP1-0278). Through my clinical practice in both private and NGO settings, I have been actively involved in delivering training related to mental health advocacy. In individual therapy, I work closely with individuals who struggle with stress/ anger management, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, relationship issues, personality disorders and child mental health issues.
With my former managerial and clinician role in a special needs centre, I also work closely with children, adolescents and their caregivers to address their concerns with neurodevelopmental disorders, learning disabilities, and mental health disorders. My previous work also involves coaching and supervising teachers and therapists in providing interventions and quality education to the neurodivergent population.
While Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is my main therapeutic approach, I also adopt an integrative form of psychotherapy (i.e., expressive art, play based therapy etc.) in my clinical work with individuals of varying needs. In my clinical sessions, I am seeking to provide a safe and non threatening platform for clients to express themselves, address their emotional challenges, gain new insights and regain control of their life journey.
