Personal Experience & Biography
From a young age, I have been guided by the principle of “leaving the world better than how I found it,” a value that continues to shape my work as a clinical psychologist. I have come to understand that meaningful change does not always require grand gestures, but can begin with small, genuine shifts in the lives of individuals. By supporting each person in becoming the best version of themselves, I hope to create a ripple effect that extends beyond our work together into their relationships and communities.
Prior to entering my master’s training, I was introduced to both substance and process addictions during my internship, which sparked a deeper interest in this area. Throughout my clinical training, I had the opportunity to work with a range of concerns, including addiction, personality disorders, neurodevelopmental conditions, and mood disorders. During my final placement at the National Cancer Institute Malaysia, I supported individuals and families navigating grief, bereavement, and pain management. I also work with those facing everyday challenges such as emotional regulation, interpersonal difficulties, and life transitions, recognising that these experiences can be just as impactful.
In therapy, I value honesty, openness, and a willingness to explore, while recognising that each person moves at their own pace. The journey of change is rarely linear, and it is always a personal one. I believe that our life experiences, even the difficult ones, can become meaningful opportunities for growth and self-understanding. While taking the first step can feel uncertain or even overwhelming, I aim to provide a safe, supportive space where we can work together toward meaningful change and help you move closer to the life you want to live.
